The story line of the film “Raising Dion” is about a widowed mother, Nicole, as she raises her son Dion in Atlanta, who acquires superhuman abilities following a mysterious “Aurora Event” that also resulted in the death of his scientist father, Mark. They contend with Dion’s developing powers (telekinesis, teleportation) while concealing him from a malevolent biotech firm, BIONA, and combating the nefarious, lightning-wielding “Crooked Man,” who is, in fact, Mark’s best friend, Pat, seeking to exploit Dion for his own healing, all under the guidance of Mark’s spirit.
